Busy careers, clashing egos, the wear of the spotlight. Lots of factors seem to contribute to the frequent downfall of celebrity marriages and relationships (even Brangelina’s). But these nine famous couples prove that long-term love can win out, even in Hollywood.

1. Annette Bening and Warren Beatty

He used to be known as a ladies’ man. But when Warren Beatty met Annette Bening, he became the marrying kind. The two actors have four kids together and are still going strong since their 1992 wedding.

2. Angela Bassett and Courtney B. Vance

They met while in Yale’s MFA drama program and remained friends for many years before starting to date. The couple have been married since 1997 and have a twin boy and girl. During his 2016 Emmy acceptance speech, Vance thanked his wife, saying, “To the woman who rocks my chain. Angela Evelyn Bassett, this one is for you girl!”

3. Jamie Lee Curtis and Christopher Guest

Veteran actress Jamie-Lee Curtis and mockumentary actor Christopher Guest have been married since 1984. It was love at first sight for Curtis after she saw Guest’s photo in a magazine. Turns out Guest is also British nobility, having inherited a family title. Does that make Curtis “Lady Jamie-Lee”?

Since they married in 2000, they’ve weathered a separation, treatment for his cancer, struggles with her bipolar disorder. But Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas still seem happy together and have two children.

5. David and Victoria Beckham

Maybe it’s because they still come across as so hip, but it’s hard to believe David and Victoria Beckham have been married close to two decades. They had an extravagant 1999 wedding and now have four children. Fingers crossed this glamorous couple keeps making it work.

Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy dated seriously and even broke up for several years before Huffman accepted Macy’s marriage proposal. They wed in 1997 and had two daughters. “‘Marry a man of character,'” Huffman remembers her mother telling her. “And I did.”
