Get ready to celebrate — Blueberry Pie Oreos are coming back
There’s nothing quite like blueberry pie and a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the summertime. Scratch that. There’s Oreos. The previously limited-edition Blueberry Pie Oreos will be making a comeback very soon, so a lot of pie (and Oreo) lovers are about to be very happy.
These unique cookies first made their debut in June 2016, but they were only on shelves for a very limited time. But it seems these decadent Oreos will be coming back.
But wait. Don’t get too excited just yet.
The cookies will reportedly only be available at select stores. They’re coming to the Supervalu chain, which means you’ll be able to find them in the aisles at Shoppers, Cub Foods, Farm Fresh, Shop ‘n Save and Hornbacher’s.
Blueberry Pie Oreos, with their pie-flavored filling and graham cracker-like outer cookies, are certainly a far cry from the classic chocolate and cream filling the brand’s known for. But they’re also not the strangest version Nabisco has released.
Recently, the brand released Firework Oreos. What in heck does that mean in terms of flavor? Firework Oreos are your classic Oreo cookie—but they’re filled with popping candy that “explodes” in your mouth.
But I have a feeling things are about to get a whole lot wackier, because Oreo’s also just announced a contest, where fans get to choose their next flavor. So crazy combinations are definitely in store.
Got a flavor you’ve been dying to pitch to the cookie company? You’ve got until July 14 to pitch one unique idea per day to see if you’ve got what it takes to stand out from the rest of the Oreo-loving community.
Need inspiration for your flavor combination pitch? Pick up a box of Blueberry Oreos, coming to those aforementioned select grocery stores the week of June 5, to get those creative juices flowing.
