Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban may have been together for 12 years, but they’re just as in love as the day they said “I do.” Their social media accounts make that more than apparent.

The actress and country singer posted the sweetest messages to commemorate 12 years together and some “aww”-worthy moments.

“Remembering 12 years ago today at a church in Manly, Australia. Still feels like it was yesterday. I’m a lucky woman,” Kidman wrote on Instagram. “Happy Anniversary Baby.”

The caption was complete with a tiny video compilation of the two on their wedding day:

While this is enough to send you running for the nearest box of tissues, Urban’s approach to celebrating their relationship was just as cute. His anniversary message was little more on the playful side:

“12 years of celestial synergized soul dancing. Happy anniversary Babygirl!!! I love you SO much,” the musician wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of Kidman dancing to Urban’s piano-playing.

Clearly, these two are still very much loved-up!

After 12 years of marriage, the couple has two kids together, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Kidman was able to carry Sunday Rose, but she and Urban had Faith Margaret by way of a gestational carrier. They are also the parents to two children, Connor and Isabella, she adopted while married to Tom Cruise.

Making It Work

Making a marriage work when you’re in the limelight as much as this couple isn’t easy, but they’ve got their tricks to making it work. Their secret to a long-lasting relationship might actually surprise you. According to Kidman, the couple never texts each other. Only phone calls for these two!

“We don’t text,” Kidman told Parade magazine. She continued:

“That is so not our relationship, which is interesting right? We call. We’ve done this since the very beginning … We just do voice to voice or skin to skin, as we always say. We talk all the time and we FaceTime but we just don’t text because I feel like texting can be misrepresentative at times. And I’ve had the thing where I reread texts and I’m like, ‘What does that mean?’ and then read it to somebody and go ‘Can you interpret that?’ I don’t want that between my lover and I.”

Kidman and Urban really seem to be on to something here, which may encourage you to try the “no text” policy in your own relationship. (If you can get your significant other to answer the phone, that is. We all now how difficult that can be!) Hey, if it works for Kidman and Urban, it might just work for you, too. It’s certainly worth a try!

Congratulations to the happy couple (and thanks for the relationship advice)!
