This Genius Product Collects Your Dog’s Poop For You — Hands-Free!

Collecting poop isn’t the most glamorous part of pet ownership, but it’s a necessary part of the job. But now, there’s a product that make it easier to clean up after your pooch. Called Piqapoo, it’s a saving grace for germaphobic dog owners.

Piqapoo isn’t your ordinary poop scoop: It is essentially a clip that gently attaches around your dog’s tail with a bag underneath that will catch No. 2.

If you’ve ever seen the manure bags that hang behind police horses, this is essentially that, but for your dog. Kind of genius, huh?

Piqapoo is very simple, and once you see it in action, you’ll wonder where it’s been all of your life!

Once your dog has — ahem — taken care of business, all you have to do is remove the clip from her tail and dispose of the poop-filled bag in a trash can. That can be done without ever touching the bag and its contents. The creators note that Piqapoo can be a great clean-up product for blind people and their service dogs.

Piqapoo comes with larger and smaller bag sizes and it’s made to fit any dog breed.

The product got funded Israel-based dog owners on the crowd-funding site Indiegogo and has already exceeded its goal. You can purchase one through Indiegogo for $29 plus shipping and handling. You’ll receive a clip and 60 collection bags, which are expected to ship out in October 2017.

Piqapoo really seems like a unique product. The most similar contraption we could find online was the Kanxeto Poop Scoop which retracts and expands like an umbrella to wrap waste in a bag, and therefore doing the dirty work for you.
