When a slice of toast just isn’t enough to cure your carb craving, but a bagel feels a little excessive, here comes the English muffin to save the day. Thomas’ English Muffins are widely beloved for their “nooks and crannies” that are perfect for cradling melted butter and other toppings.

Now Thomas’ has introduced a mashup of two popular breakfast foods: the brand’s classic English muffin and a cinnamon bun. Swoon! Made with real cinnamon, the new offering from Thomas’ is meant to satisfy cravings for gooey cinnamon buns in the form of a crunchy, toasted English muffin.

Thomas’ Cinnamon Bun English Muffins hit grocery store shelves back on April 12 at a suggested retail price of $4.49, but check your local stores for prices. For example, we found them for sale at Walmart for only $2.68 for a package of six muffins.

In celebration of the launch of the new Cinnamon Bun English Muffins and in honor of National English Muffin Day (April 23), Thomas’ is holding a contest for customers to share their favorite English muffin recipes. And the grand prize is $10,000!

The Split Decisions contest invites customers to slice their English muffins in half and showcase their two favorite ways to prepare them on each half. Through April 30, you can visit the contest’s official page and enter your name, email, phone number and your recipes for each half of your Thomas’ English Muffin.

The idea is that you never have to limit yourself to just a savory breakfast or a sweet one — with English muffins, you can top one half with something savory (like cheese, lox or avocado with salt) and the other half can be topped with something sweet (such as jam, Nutella or honey butter).

Five finalists will be chosen for a nationwide vote that will take place from May 10-16. The person with the winning recipe will receive a $10,000 grand prize.

So, how would you prepare each half of your English muffin? Your idea could be a winner!
